Cupertino, California – September 9, 2024 – Apple has unveiled the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max, boasting advanced features such as larger displays, improved camera technology, and an impressive boost in battery life. These new models are powered by the A18 Pro chip, which supports Apple Intelligence, providing users with a more intuitive and personalized experience while maintaining strong privacy protections.
The new iPhones feature innovative camera capabilities, including the Camera Control system, which allows users to interact with the advanced 48MP Fusion camera and the ultra-wide lens with ease. For the first time, the iPhone offers 4K120 fps video recording in Dolby Vision, delivering stunning visuals for both professionals and everyday users. Additionally, both models come equipped with a 5x Telephoto camera and studio-quality microphones for lifelike audio capture.
Built from strong, lightweight titanium, the iPhone 16 Pro models have larger screens (6.3 inches for the Pro and 6.9 inches for the Pro Max) and thinner borders than any previous iPhone. The iPhone 16 Pro Max also features the longest battery life ever offered by Apple.
Available in four finishes—black titanium, natural titanium, white titanium, and desert titanium—pre-orders for the new models start on September 13, with availability on September 20.

Apple Intelligence
Apple Intelligence, integrated into the iPhone 16 lineup, enhances user experience by leveraging Apple’s generative models to understand and create language and images, improving workflows across apps. This system ensures user privacy through Apple’s Private Cloud Compute, which balances on-device processing with server-based capabilities.
Apple Intelligence offers features like audio recording, transcription, and summarization in the Notes and Phone apps, along with smarter notifications and email management. Siri also receives an upgrade, allowing for more natural communication and seamless interactions across tasks.
Advanced Camera System and Design
The new Camera Control system allows users to quickly and efficiently interact with the iPhone’s pro camera. This system includes intuitive touch gestures and a high-precision force sensor for ultimate control. Environmental Commitment
Apple continues its commitment to sustainability with the iPhone 16 Pro models, which are made with over 25% recycled materials. This includes 100% recycled aluminum in the internal frame and a battery composed of 100% recycled cobalt. The devices are free of harmful substances like mercury and PVC, and the packaging is fully fiber-based as part of Apple’s plan to eliminate plastic packaging by next year.
Pricing and Availability
The iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max will be available in 128GB, 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB configurations. Prices start at INR 119,900 for the iPhone 16 Pro and INR 144,900 for the iPhone 16 Pro Max. Pre-orders begin on September 13, with availability starting on September 20.
Apple is also offering customers three free months of Apple Music, Apple Arcade, and Apple Fitness+ with a new iPhone purchase.
