The BBC is “decided to combat” a possible lawsuit from U.S. President Donald Trump, the broadcaster’s chair Samir Shah stated on Monday.

In line with Sky Information, Shah despatched an electronic mail to employees addressing hypothesis about authorized motion from Trump over documentary program “Panorama’s” enhancing of his Jan. 6, 2021 speech. Trump has stated that he plans to sue the BBC for $1 billion for defamation, and over the weekend informed reporters that he may up the ante to $5 billion.
