Awkward Productions are bringing their viral exhibits, “Gwyneth Goes Snowboarding” and “Diana: The Untold and Unfaithful Story,” to pick U.S. cities in 2026.
“Diana: The Untold and Unfaithful Story,” which follows Princess Diana’s progressive stances on social and queer points and permits her to “communicate her (un)reality and break away from the monarchy,” will make its New York debut at Off-Broadway’s SoHo Playhouse from Jan. 6 to Jan. 10. The exhibits will then hit Aspen for Homosexual Ski Week from Jan. 14 to Jan. 17 at The Wheeler Opera Home.
The Elysian Theater in Los Angeles will current “Gwyneth Goes Snowboarding,” a riff on Gwyneth Paltrow‘s authorized battle over a collision on the slopes at Deer Valley Resort with a retired optometrist, from Jan. 21 to Jan. 24. “Diana” will present at The Elysian Theater from Jan. 25 to Jan. 28, which marks the present’s Los Angeles debut.
“Gwyneth Goes Snowboarding” stars Linus Karp because the Goop founder and “Shakespeare in Love” star, with Joseph Martin taking part in Paltrow’s nemesis Dr. Terry Sanderson. The present options unique music by Leland, vocals by Cat Cohen and Tony Award winner Darren Criss and a particular video look from drag legend Trixie Mattel.
“Diana: The Untold and Unfaithful Story” debuted on the Edinburgh Fringe in 2023. The present has gained an OffFest Award for Greatest Play and the LAURA Award and has loved three U.Ok. Excursions, multi-week runs in London and, as of this 12 months, a world tour via Bangkok, Australia, Canada and Europe. Finishing the forged digitally are Geri Allen, Rob Madge, Zina Badran and Jeanna de Waal.
Awkward Productions was created by Karp and Martin to deliver “genre-mixing comedy, area of interest popular culture references, viewers participation and queer pleasure to the stage.”
