US President Donald Trump has mentioned he’ll order an investigation into paedophile financier Jeffrey Epstein’s alleged hyperlinks to main banks and several other distinguished Democrats, together with former President Invoice Clinton.
Trump on social media mentioned he would ask Lawyer Common Pam Bondi and the FBI to look into Epstein’s “involvement and relationship” with Clinton and others “to find out what was happening with them, and him”.
Curiosity in Epstein’s relationships was renewed this week after US lawmakers launched greater than 20,000 pages of paperwork from his property, together with some mentioning Trump.
Clinton has strongly denied he had any information of Epstein’s crimes.
Along with Clinton, Trump mentioned he requested the Division of Justice (DoJ) to research banks JP Morgan and Chase, former Treasury Secretary Larry Summers and LinkedIn founder Reid Hoffman, who can also be a distinguished Democratic donor.
“Epstein was a Democrat, and he’s the Democrat’s downside, not the Republican’s downside!” he wrote on social media.
“All of them find out about him, do not waste your time with Trump. I’ve a Nation to run!”
A spokesperson for JPMorgan Chase mentioned the agency regrets “any affiliation” they’d with Epstein, and added that the agency “didn’t assist him commit his heinous acts”.
